Das Studierendenparlament fordert, dass alle Mitglieder des KIT, die den Titel ›Professor‹ bzw. ›Professorin‹ tragen und keine hauptamtlichen Vorstandsmitglieder sind, auch Lehre halten müssen. Der UStA wird beauftragt, eine entsprechende medienwirksame Kampagne durchzuführen.

Begründung: 

Das KIT-Gesetz besagt: »Der Vorstand kann leitenden Wissenschaftlern die Befugnis zur Führung der Bezeichnung ›Professor‹ oder, in Abhängigkeit von der wahrgenommenen Funktion, der Bezeichnung ›Professor und Forschungsdirektor am KIT‹ verleihen«. Eine Lehrverpflichtung ergibt sich daraus allerdings nicht explizit. Um den Status des Professoren-Titels als Hochschullehrer zu erhalten, sollten auch die Titelträger nach §14(4) KITG Lehrverpflichtungen haben.
