Geschlechtergerechte Sprache in Studienarbeiten

Beschluss: 

Die Studierendenschaft des KIT befürwortet die Verwendung geschlechtergerechter Sprache. In Studienarbeiten sollte explizit dazu ermutigt und auch auf entsprechende Handreichungen hingewiesen werden. Trotz der vielfältigen Möglichkeiten, Sprache geschlechtergerecht zu formulieren, ist dies zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch nicht die Norm. Solange dies so ist, sollte daher auch die Verwendung beziehungsweise nicht-Verwendung geschlechtergerechter Sprache in jeglichen Studienarbeiten freiwillig, also ohne Einfluss auf die Bewertung der Arbeit geschehen. Ausnahmen sollten durch vorherige schriftliche Ankündigung an alle Beteiligten individuell vereinbart werden können, falls fachlich relevante Gründe dafür nachgewiesen werden, beispielsweise wenn die Qualität der Arbeit durch Ungenauigkeit in der Geschlechtsbezeichnung beeinträchtigt wird.
