Find ur Orientation-Week
The student councils (Fachschaften) and the AStA at KIT warmly welcome you to your studies! To help you find your way around campus and settle into Karlsruhe more easily, we, the Fachschaften (the student representatives of your degree programs), organize orientation weeks (O-Phase) for you.
The Fachschaften consist of students who represent the interests of their respective degree programs towards their faculty and are always available to support their fellow students with advice and practical help. Since we have all been in your situation before and have gained a lot of experience since then, we know what matters most at the beginning. To make your start a little easier, the O-Phase gives you the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and to find out everything you need to know for the first few weeks.
Because the degree programs are different, there is no single O-Phase for everyone. Instead, the individual Fachschaften organize their own orientation weeks for their respective degree programs to make sure you get the best possible start. Accordingly, when and where your O-Phase begins depends on your specific degree program.
To help you find the right orientation phase, we have put together an overview for you here. Simply select whether you are starting a Bachelor's, Master's or teacher training (Lehramt) program, and then click on your degree program in the alphabetical list.

Teacher Training Programs (Lehramt)
Note: If you are studying several of the following subjects as a teacher training student, you may choose one of the applicable O-Phases. You will also have the opportunity to attend information sessions of the other subject. In addition, there is a cross-subject information session for all teacher training students. To help us plan the event better, we ask you to register via the link provided. If you have any questions about teacher training studies, we students from Lehramt@KIT and the ZLB (Center for Teacher Education) are happy to help.
