  1. Die Studierendenschaft am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) lehnt das System der Akkreditierung von Hochschulen auf Basis der ländergemeinsamen Strukturvorgaben ab und fordert den Gesetzgeber dazu auf, die Pflicht, Bachelor- und Masterstudiengänge zu akkreditieren bzw. eine Systemakkreditierung zu erlangen, abzuschaffen.
  2. Die Studierendenschaft unterstützt den Antrag des KIT auf Zulassungzur Systemakkreditierung vom September 2011. 
Begründung: 

Zu 1.) Akkreditierungen sind nicht geeignet, den bei ihrer Einführung vorgegebenen Zweck zu erfüllen. Die Studierbarkeit von Studiengängen kann nur durch eine angemessene studentische Mitbestimmung und ggf. einer Evaluation sichergestellt werden. Weiterhin ist fraglich, in wie fern die Mobilität der Studierenden durch eine Akkreditierung erhöht werden kann. Die internationale Vergleichbarkeit ohne gleichzeitige internationale Anerkennung von Studiengängen stellte zu Zeiten der Diplomstudiengänge ohne Akkreditierung kein Problem dar. Ein Dipl.-Ing. zum Beispiel war auch außerhalb der Grenzen Deutschlands bekannt. Außerdem ist es absolut unverständlich, warum eine Fachaufsicht, die vom Ministerium faktisch nie ausgeübt wurde, nun von Beraterfirmen durchgeführt werden soll. Darüber hinaus gibt es erhebliche verfassungsrechtliche Bedenken, die alleine schon für eine Abschaffung des Akkreditierungspflicht sprechen (siehe Anhänge zum Antrag).

Zu 2.) Da es derzeit die Pflicht zur Akkreditierung gibt, ist die Systemakkreditierung der Programmakkreditierung vorzuziehen. Neben den immensen Kosten einer Programmakkreditierung aller Bachelor- und Master-Studiengänge (ca. 80 Stück), würde während der Prüfung der Arbeitsalltag der Fakultäten und Institute erheblich gestört.
