Studierendenschaft des KIT begrüßt Plan, Forumsrasen in einen Baggersee umzuwandeln

Noch in diesem Frühjahr soll ein geeignetes Loch ausgehoben und mit Wasser gefüllt werden, um zwischen Audimax und AKK bis zur Sommerpause einen Baggersee zu errichten. Bisherige Rasenveranstaltungen werden den neuen Umständen entsprechend umgestaltet. So wird das diesjährige Unifest eine schwimmende Bühne erhalten und die Stände der Karrieremesse auf Jobinseln verlegt. 

Die angehende Elektrotechnikerin Sabine F. (21) ist überzeugt: "Der Rasen war sowieso in schlechtem Zustand und das Schwimmbad ist leider nicht durchgängig geöffnet.Auch die Möglichkeit, auf der Karrieremesse mit Tretbooten zwischen den Jobinseln hin- und her zu fahren, hört sich spannend an!"

Übliche Rasenaktivitäten können in neuer Form stadtfinden: "Wir steigen komplett auf Wasser-Frisbee um", erklärt Joachim M. (26), der bisher häufig mit seinen Freunden Ultimate auf dem Forum spielte. "Danach ungeduscht in die Vorlesung zu gehen fand ich sowieso immer nervig." Besonders erfreut zeigt er sich über die Resistenz des Sees gegenüber Veranstaltungen. "Dass der Rasen bei der letzten Karrieremesse so zerstört wurde, hat mich schockiert. Auf einmal alles Matsch bis auf den Rollrasenstreifen. Aber was soll bei einem See schon kaputt gehen?"
